You are hereTambura Mountain
The Tambura is the second tallest mountain of the Apuane district, located on the border between the provinces of Lucca and Massa. Along the slopes of this mountain runs the ancient Vandelli way, built in 1700 to connect Modena to Massa. From the summit, reachable by following path CAI n.148, open amazing views in every direction: the Pisanino and all the other peaks of the Apuane Alps, the Appennines, Massa and Versilia. The approach to the top is not particularly dangerous, but good training is, however, necessary.
